Northern Ballet Tree

Leeds Train Station
This year, Northern Ballet will once again present a Christmas tree in Leeds Train Station, with generous sponsorship from first direct. The tree is inspired by the company’s festive performances of Beauty & the Beast, which take place at Leeds Grand Theatre between the 15th of December and the 7th of January.

Inspired by first direct’s brand colours, the tree will be decked out in black, white and gold. White roses, miniature replicas of the 3.2 metre rose Beauty falls asleep on in the production, will bloom, whilst gold mirrors, another nod to the famous fairytale, will glisten from every branch.

One of Northern Ballet’s most magical productions, Beauty & the Beast is the perfect production to spread Christmas cheer to more than 70,000 commuters and travellers who pass through the station every day.

The tree is a 15 foot Nordmann Fir.
The tree is in situ between Sunday November 27th and Sunday 8th of January.
The tree is bedecked with more than 300 decorations!
Over 230 pairs of pointe shoes will be used by Northern Ballet dancers in their production of Beauty & the Beast.
Over 70,000 commuters will see the tree every day.
